T O P I C R E V I E WalludeuDoes anyone think that person b's sun close to the ascendant of person a, person a and b's moon opposite each other are strong enough attractors for relationships in synastry? Idk the time of birth for person b.girlwiththerainysoulyes, I think so browncoatI would agree that they are, and they can certainly be strong attraction factors, but I wouldn't say it's enough to be a great relationship.I'd look at moon aspects to other planets, Venus, Mars and Saturn, for starters. Edit:I believe there's a difference between attraction and compatibility. Ideally you'd want both, but that's not always the case. Opposing Moons is certainly a strong attraction indicator, but the emotional space of each partner will be "opposite" ...one is up when the other is down. It can work. It's difficult to sync up and takes conscious effort and patience from both to relate well. One aspect isn't the "make or break" of the entire relationship, but this isn't necessarily one of the best aspects for the long term. But remember this about attraction:The energy that makes us want to tear someone's clothes off is the same energy that eventually makes us want to tear their head off.alludeu quote:Originally posted by browncoat:I would agree that they are, and they can certainly be strong attraction factors, but I wouldn't say it's enough to be a great relationship.I'd look at moon aspects to other planets, Venus, Mars and Saturn, for starters. He cheated on me and is married now, but we are still very close friends and text often and confide in one another. Definitely a powerful relationship and lovely friendship I wouldn't trade for the world.I do think oppositions in synastry are very powerful. It's about the axis of those signs balancing/completing one another. However, I've read that it works better with yin/yang planets, i.e. if it's person A's sun opposite person B's moon. I frequently experience powerful attractions of this sort. I've never personally experienced a close relationship with someone whose moon opposed mine.------------------Sun - Taurus // Moon - Aries // ASC - Cancer // Mercury - Aries // Venus - Taurus // Mars - Pisces
